Have you noticed that PSP offers a Batch Rename functionality? Just select File -> Batch Rename... Select the files you want to rename and define the new names with different qualifiers (e.g. sequence number, date, time ...) and a custom text. That makes it easy to rename a bunch of photos from IMG_00376.jpg to IMG_00571.jpg into Vacation_March_2010_001.jpg to Vacation_March_2010_195.jpg. I

Maybe you have noticed when you're customizing your toolbars and menus, that you can move a menu item from one toolbar to the other. But you are also able to copy something. Just hold down the CTRL key while dragging the menu item to the new loolbar and you'll get a COPY instead of a MOVE.

In general if you start drawing a shape, PSP starts from a corner. If you want to start drawing from the center of the shape, click on the right mouse button and drag to draw your shape. If you want to draw a rectangle, ellipse or symmetric shape, hold down the CTRL key while drawing the shape.

Do you know that you can move the selection marquee? This is very handy if you selected e.g. a sqare area of an image and the square does not sit where you want to have it. Just select the Move Tool , then right-click into the selection marquee, hold down the mouse button and move the marquee where you want it to be.

PSP offers a great option to view details of an image: the magnifying window. Just press CTRL+ALT+M and a small window appears that shows the area around the cursor at 500%. Press CTRL+ALT+M again and the window will disappear.

I worked on two new products of my Paper Factory series in the last days. Every pack contains 4 layered paper templates. Mix and recolour the different layers as you like, there are unlimited possibilities. If you zoomed in or out in a picture and you quickly want to change to the 100% view, just click CTRL-ALT-N and the picture will be zoomed back to 100%.
